Waxing Different Areas of the Body

The Face

  • Wax one side at a time.

  • Keep skin taut by placing the tongue under the corner of the lip being waxed and pressing it outward.

  • Powder dry after sanitizing, as described in the '10 Easy Steps'.

  • Spread the wax from the center fo the nostril toward the corner fo the lip being waxed.

  • Immediately press on the strip in the direction of hair growth.

  • Rip it off right away in the opposite direction.

  • Apply pressure on the waxed area for a few seconds.

  • After waxing both side of the upper lip, apply a cold compress for a few minutes.

  • For sensitive skin apply L'Eily Astringent Lotion after the cold compress.

Keep the skin taut by pulling upward and outward above the browbone. Spread wax in direction of hair growth from the bridge of the nose toward the ear. Rip off the strip in the opposite direction. Use L'Eily Eyebrow Sticks for spreading the wax.

  1. Forearm

  2. Upper Arm

  3. Waxing these areas is similar to lower and upper legs respectively.

:Wax in two sections:

  • Wear your underwear or bikini to ensure a correct guideline.

  • Flex one leg to the side, as far as you can comfortably.

  • Trim hair to 1/2 in. with scissors.

  • Powder dry, after sanitizing, as explained in the '10 Easy Steps'.

  • Hold the skin taut by pulling in the pubic area.

  • Apply wax in the direction of hair growth. Due to the irregularity of hair growth pattern in this area, special attention should be given to determine the correct direction of hair growth. However, usually the wax should be applied in the direction from the waist toward the center of the pubic area.

  • Press on the strip, in the same direction, and rip it off in the opposite direction. Apply pressure.

  • After washing with a wet towel, apply a cold compress for a few minutes, and then apply the L'Eily Astringent Lotion.

  • The appearance of blood spots for some people is normal.

  • Repeat the above procedure for the other side.

Since the upper leg has flabby areas, stretch the skin or keep the upper leg in such a position so as to ensure that the skin is taut.

  • Apply wax downward toward the knee.

  • Remove in the opposite direction

  • Some swirling hair pattern exists on the back of some thighs, where the hair grows in several directions. First remove these irregulars, using the '10 Easy Steps'.

  • Keep the leg in an inverted 'V' Shape so as to keep the skin taut.

  • Start below the knee and spread wax downward.

  • Rip off the strip in the opposite direction (from ankle to knee)

  • Repeat the above three steps as well as the '10 Easy Steps' until one lower leg is finished. The lower leg is the easiest part to wax.

  • Repeat the above for the rest of the lower leg.

  • Place one arm of the individual being waxed behind their head.

  • The other arm should pull their breast to the center of their chest.

  • Trip the underarm hair to 1/2 in.

  • Powder dry, after sanitizing, as explained in the '10 Easy Steps'.

  • Wax in two separate sections.

  • First spread the wax from the center of the underarm toward the waist. Press on the strip on this half in the same direction.

  • Rip off the strip from the waist toward the center of the underarm.

  • For the second half (upper half) spread the wax from the center of the underarm toward the elbow.

  • Press on the strip on the upper half and rip it off in the opposite direction.

  • Apply a cold compress for a few minutes and then the L'Eily Astringent Lotion.

  • The appearance of blood spots for some people is normal.

  • Repeat the above procedure for the other underarm.

“While millions have turned to laser, waxing, and electrolysis, others have opted for sugaring, a sweeter version of hair removal that uses a sugar paste instead of wax.”

  • For women, too much body hair can really hurt, MSNBC.com

“After a while, sugaring can damage the follicle causing the hair to stop growing, or it comes back finer and less frequently.”

“Sugaring, a natural method that’s kinder to the skin than waxing...is a good alternative.”

“Water-soluble ‘sugar’ products made from a sugar and water base are less sticky than traditional wax, so any excess washes off with water. They’re also gentler on sensitive skin.”
